Encrypted Communication

All communication between SeqSphere+ Client and Server is encrypted using HTTP via TLS (2048 bit). All communication between the SeqSphere+ Client and the cgMLST.org Nomenclature server is encrypted in the same way.

Encrypted Database

SeqSphere+ server uses by default an embedded HyperSQL database, which supports encryption of the database files. This can be configured when a new SeqSphere+ database is initialized.

By default, the SeqSphere+ server database is not encrypted.
